We will share details of all applications, including personal details, with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) for research and evaluation purposes. We are under a duty to protect public funds and we will use the information you provide to verify your eligibility for the grant against other records available to us, such as the Business Rates system.
Important information about fraud
Please be aware that the government will not accept deliberate manipulation and fraud. Any business caught falsifying their records to gain additional grant money will face prosecution and any funding issued will be subject to claw back, as may any grants paid in error. If fraud is detected, you could be refused certain services, finance or employment.
We may share or match information provided with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds, or where undertaking a public function in order to prevent and detect fraud, such as HMRC.
